How it works

Trends on the parent’s device. Sharing only with consent.

Porchlight never uploads raw Apple Health samples. A local engine learns a rolling baseline, then surfaces gentle drift when patterns sit outside their usual range for several days.

    Calibrate

After roughly three weeks of wear, Porchlight understands someone’s usual range for resting heart rate, HRV, activity, sleep, and related metrics.

  2. 02

    Notice drift

When a metric drifts beyond a personal threshold for consecutive days, status moves from Steady to Worth a look — a nudge, not an alarm.

  3. 03

    Weekly digest

Plain-language summaries help the family talk about the week. Language is filtered so it stays wellness-framed.

  4. 04

    Invite family

The parent previews exactly what will be shared, toggles metrics, and can revoke access. Shared summaries are removed within 24 hours after revoke.
